About the BlogThe Contentious Contrarian (Blog of Sincerity) is the ground for publishing essays on a variety of contentious, political and social subjects by myself, Daniel C. Mees – expressing views, concerns and knowledge for you, the curious reader.
I, Daniel C. Mees, was born somewhere in West Eurasia in the very late 21st century. I am an advocate of humanism, secularism and free-thought; a social and religious critic; a contrarian of common social opinion; and enthusiast of popular science, history, economic and political affairs. My written work is comprised of many topics including social philosophy, political philosophy, religion, science and more. I am a candid and forthright; embracing dissenting, polemical and critical expression. In much of my writing, you will find that I approach certain topics in a mildly undiplomatic manner since I believe political correctness and discretion is contemptible. So, be advised that you might be entering some defiant territory. So, enough of this proud boasting; check out the writings! |
